Frequently Asked Questions
We work with insurance, but not as an in-network provider. Here's how it works: You pay at time of service, and we provide detailed documentation (superbill) for you to submit to your insurance for out-of-network reimbursement. Many families receive $600-$1,800 back from their insurance, though coverage varies significantly by plan and is not guaranteed. This approach allows us to provide comprehensive evaluations without insurance company restrictions on time or assessment methods.
To check your benefits: Call your insurance company and ask about out-of-network coverage for psychological testing (CPT codes 90791, 96130, 96131, 96136, 96137).

Our comprehensive neurodevelopmental evaluations are $3,000. Focused evaluations for one primary diagnostic question are $2,500. You pay a $500 deposit when scheduling your intake appointment, and the remaining balance ($2,500 for comprehensive; $2,000 for focused) is due at your feedback session. We offer payment plans for the remaining balance.
We're happy to discuss cost and payment options during your free consultation or intake appointment!

Insurance reimbursement is NOT guaranteed and varies significantly by plan.
Here's what we know:
• Many families with out-of-network benefits receive 50-80% reimbursement
• Some families receive less than 50%
• Some families receive no reimbursement
• Coverage depends on your specific plan, deductible status, and plan restrictions
BEFORE booking, we strongly recommend:
1. Call your insurance to verify out-of-network mental health/psychological testing benefits
2. Ask specifically about CPT codes 96130, 96131, 96136, 96137, and 90971
3. Understand your deductible and out-of-network limits
4. Plan your budget assuming you may not receive reimbursement
You are responsible for payment in full regardless of what your insurance decides to reimburse.
You can submit to insurance after you receive your final report and superbill, which I provide within 48 hours of your feedback session. Most insurance companies have online portals where you can simply upload the superbill - the process typically takes 10-15 minutes. I'm happy to walk you through it if you need help!
If your insurance approves reimbursement, it typically takes 4-8 weeks from submission. However:
• Some insurance companies are faster, some slower
• Some claims get denied and require appeals
• Some claims need additional documentation
• Timeline varies significantly by insurance company.
After your $500 deposit, you can split the remaining balance into 2-3 payments.
For Comprehensive ($3,000 total):
• $500 deposit + two $1,250 payments (one due at the testing session and the second due at the feedback/results session)
For Focused ($2,500 total):
• $500 deposit + two $1,000 payments (one due at the testing session and the second due at the feedback/results session)
CareCredit: 6-month and 12-month financing options available.
